About Us
Heimaey Krafts is a small family-run brand based in Vestmannaeyjar, Iceland. It began simply, with each of us creating things we enjoyed in our own time. Over time, what started as a hobby turned into something we wanted to share with others.
Today, Heimaey Krafts brings together a mix of handmade items, including candles, wax melts, knitted pieces, jewelry, and home décor. Each of us focuses on different crafts, which is what gives the brand its variety and personality.
Our candles are hand-poured in small batches, often inspired by cozy, everyday moments - from soft, warm scents to playful dessert-style designs. We take time with each one, from choosing the fragrance to finishing the details, making sure it looks and feels just right.
Knitting is also a big part of what we do. Each piece is made with the same level of care and attention, using quality yarns and traditional techniques. From warm sweaters and children’s clothing to smaller accessories, every piece is designed to be both comfortable and long-lasting - something you can wear and enjoy for years, not just a season.
Our jewelry is created with the same mindset. We focus on beautiful, wearable designs and small details that make each piece feel a bit more personal. Whether it’s something subtle for everyday use or something more eye-catching, everything is made with care rather than mass-produced.
Most of what we create are things we would genuinely choose for ourselves - items we’d keep in our own homes or give as gifts to people we care about. That’s usually how we decide what belongs in our collection.
We also enjoy the challenge of creating custom pieces. Whether it’s a specific idea, a personal gift, or something a bit different, we like working closely with people to bring their ideas to life in our own way.
Being based in Vestmannaeyjar is also a big part of who we are. Life here is a bit quieter and more grounded, and we think that naturally shows in the things we make - simple, cozy, and made to be enjoyed over time.
Heimaey Krafts isn’t about being perfect or following trends. It’s about making something real, by hand, and sharing it with people who appreciate that.
